Apaşlar was founded in 1956 by Mehmet Soyarslan and Yalçınkaya Tümay. After some name and lineup changes, the band met with Cem Karaca in 1967. It was the first band Cem Karaca has worked with, and together they have released several 45’s and EP’s between 1967 and 1970, some of which also featured German Ferdy Klein Orchestra. Şans Çocuğu was a product of this unique collaboration, an instrumental piece with highly energetic guitar melodies and loud drum beats. It was released as the B-side of Resimdeki Gözyaşları in 1968 by Türkofon label.
A surf rock influnced instrumental composed by Mehmet Soyarslan founding member of Apaşlar. The song took place in Cem Karaca & Apaşlar single Resimdeki Gözyaşları / Şans Çocuğu released in 1968 under Türkofon label. Band consisted of Cem Karaca (vocals), Mehmet Soyarslan (electric guitar), Seyhan Karabay (bass guitar), Leon Habib (drums) and Ferdy Klein Orchestra. Şans Çocuğu was shadowed by the great success of Resimdeki Gözyaşları.
