Melih, Faruk, Serdar, Saygun - Gurbet Acısı (1972)
Melih, Faruk, Serdar, Saygun - Gurbet Acısı (1972) Melih, Faruk, Serdar, Saygun was an outstanding quartet even if only for a short time. The shortlived yet successful band was first a trio named Melih, Hülya, Faruk. After Hülya Kırbağ left the band, Serdar Sonüstün and Saygun Arpalı joined instead. They released their first and only album named Gurbet Acısı/Çanakkale Türküsü in April 1972 and disbanded just 3 months later, in July 1972. Saygun Arpalı, making jazz music nowadays, then continued his music career with Edip Akbayram. Unfortunately, the other members didn’t go on with music.
